Daytona - Ganassi sweeps top spots in Rolex 24

Daytona Beach, Florida. Chip Ganassi standing aside to watch his driver to turn on each other with champagne, kissed the trophy and a Rolex 24 at Daytona Victory Lane parade around with flags draped over their shoulders. Ganassi celebration was much more subdued. No chance. "Do not drive, I change tires, I do not work on engines," said Ganassi. Few car owners who have done most Ganassi in recent months - at least on the biggest stage racing.

Three reigning Grand-Am Series champion Scott Pruett drove the final leg of the Rolex 24 on Sunday and held off Ganassi teammate Scott Dixon during a frenetic, one lap sprint. Pruett got a good restart on a green-white-checker finish and some help from slower traffic to pull out of third place Dixon and Joao Barbosa in the Daytona Prototype class.

Andy Lally TRG Racing has led to victory in the GT class. The team led the last 17 hours without a clutch, but still finished two laps ahead of the car detailed. Pruett, meanwhile, won by 2.42 seconds. It's definitely been for Ganassi, who was the only car owner to win the four major races in the United States for a period of 12 months. His drivers won the Daytona 500 (Jamie McMurray), Indianapolis 500 (Dario Franchitti) and the Brickyard 400 (McMurray) last year.

Pruett and co-driver Memo Rojas, Hands of Joey Graham Rahal and overcome various setbacks back to Victory Lane for Ganassi in the Rolex 24 after consecutive second places. E "Ganassi was the fourth victory on the opening of the season. I lived there. Chip too. I think it's incredible in Nascar.
